Finally, it’s on. Together with farmers and consultants, we have identified almost 1,000 areas that we plan to sample in the coming weeks. We start in the Darmstadt area. Our proprietary app is also being used for the first time. It shows us the locations of the fields, navigates us to the field using Google Maps, serves to collect information in the field and automatically assigns unique sample numbers to the sampled weeds so that later resistance results from the greenhouse can be reliably associated.
It is just over 20 degrees today and isn’t raining, so best conditions.
By the way: Further information about our monitoring and planned work can be found here.
Finding the marked fields (pink) is no problem thanks to our app. By clicking on the field you can also navigate via Google Maps. In addition to the weed species, the infestation in the field is estimated for each sample and a note is made as to whether a seed or leaf sample has been collected. Order must be. Each sample receives a unique number.
